- Long after Terilli's and three other Lower Greenville restaurants burned in March 2010, the ruins of the 1930s building stood behind a chain-link fence as a charred reminder of what was lost. Eventually, the debris was cleared until all that remained was a portion of the front wall and the corners. Now, that salvaged facade is being incorporated into a new building in the first stages of construction.
- Greenville was carved out of the blackland prairie by pioneers who cleared the area's tall grass for new homes and farms. When Hunt County was created in 1846 by the first legislature of the new state of Texas in 1846, Greenville was named the county seat.
